My Journey With Health And Fitness – Mission Accomplished
So my husband and I went to the food truck festival today but we’re a bit disappointed. This wasn’t a really large food truck group as compared to other events that we have gone to so there wan’t the usual variety. We wondered around for a while then decided to go to a noodle restaurant we had seen the other day. I only got through about a 1/3 of my bowl but that was plenty. I did really enjoy the meal but I did have to calculate the nutritional values for my app.
I mentioned in my last post that when I come to my trailer I tend to get a little too far into the relaxation vibe. I also tend to eat less than healthy food while I am here. This trip I was determined to stay on track especially with exercise. I reminded myself that I am back to my old mantra of no excuses, I have to stay on this path.
I am proud to say that the mission has been accomplished. I have walked at least 3 hours each day that I have been here! Today I even walked the 7 km from the trailer to the food truck festival. This is no small fete since most of that walking was done on a major highway. I have actually really enjoyed getting to know the main street on the little island where we have our trailer. Some of the houses and property in this area are absolutely stunning.
As far as eating has gone, I’m a bit surprised at how well I have done. Now don’t get me wrong, I have eaten a total of 5 potato chips and today I had 4 plain mini donuts (even mini donuts have a lot of calories in them). Of course there was also today’s lunch which was higher in calories than I would normally eat but that’s ok. I have made sure to log everything in my nutrition app and my calorie deficit for the week as of yesterday was higher than my goal. That means while I can’t do any crazy eating today, I can still end the week in a good place.
The bottom line is that I did it. I absolutely managed to stay on track by just using my strong sense of determination. Yes, mission definitely accomplished.
